A panel of experts will describe the journey a survivor makes from the moment they are victimized to the time that the offender is released from prison. Various providers and organizations will help us understand these numerous, complicated and at times, very traumatizing stages. The panel with explain the sexual assault hotline, the DCPP investigation, the police response, the involvement of the prosecutor, the sexual assault examination, the survivor advocate, the assessment and evaluation process at Northern Regional Diagnostic Center (RDTC) for Child Abuse and Neglect, the trial, Nicole’s Law, and victim notification.
